Halloween Snake Family – Bread Rolls!

I don’t know about you but my children are always hungry!
So I decided to look through the cupboards and see what I could make them for when they get back from School.

I decided on some pretzel shaped rolls. All I needed was:

2.25 teaspoons of yeast ( quick rise )
1tsp sugar
12.5 oz plain flour
1 cup of warm water ( Ikea childrens cup size )
1/2 teaspoon salt

So first of all I put the yeast, warm water and sugar into a bowl. I then left it for 10 minutes to sit. If it looks frothy after ten minutes the yeast is live!

Then mix in the flour and salt, mix well for 5 minutes.
Cover the giant ball of dough with cling film or a tea towel and leave for 30 minutes

Divide the dough ball into 8 piece then hand roll each piece into long worm like pieces.

Then knot them, place on a baking tray to cook at
for 10 minutes.

Then remove and allow to cool.

I then put a little dot of marmite on the head to make an eye. But you could use whatever you have. A snakey little Halloween carby snack!
